Agrivet Sciences Institute

The Agrivet Sciences Institute (AGSI) was established in AY 2011-2012 and is timely and strategic for Lasallian presence in Central Luzon and an ideal demonstration site for agriculturally-oriented Lasallian education.

Basic Education (BED)

The School follows the standard basic education curriculum serving Grades 7-10. In light of its farm setting, the HS curriculum is integrated with the basic components of agriculture. Students are made to understand the beauty of livings things and their importance/value to other organisms and to the environment. For better appreciation of what exists in the farm, classroom activities/examples, assignments and other school related tasks are visibly aligned with gardening and animal care. In addition, every Friday, the students devote 2.5 hrs of their afternoon session tending to their experimental plots planted with easy to grow vegetables, flowering plants, among others. To make it more meaningful, the rearing/nurturing of small animals by the students is being considered for immediate implementation.

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSAgri)

The revised BS Agri curriculum has been designed to include a ladderized interface between technical-vocational education and training and higher education and requires all students to reside in the farm. Student being in residence provides them the needed exposure to farm-related practical training all throughout the duration of their studies. The new curriculum hopes to step up student enrollment in agriculture and its areas of specialization, and ultimately produce technically-skilled agriculturists and entrepreneurs.
